Hello and welcome to Do Yoga and my community Yoga classes in Weston-super-Mare!
I came to yoga at an early age, doing yoga with my Mum before I started school. I kept it up on and off through college, took up a daily practice in my twenties and finally trained to be a yoga teacher in 2002.
Somehow, I have now being doing yoga for 50 years, and teaching it for over 20 years. I’m what they call a Senior Yoga Teacher and I'm registered with the Yoga Alliance UK
Over the years I've studied different styles of yoga and meditation, including Ashtanga and Anusara Yoga. Although I’ve been teaching for many decades, I still continue with my own studies, it’s a lifelong journey.
Since 2002 I've taught Yoga, both private Yoga sessions and regular weekly Yoga groups. During this time I've worked with people of many different abilities and ages. The youngest participant was in a baby yoga class, and the oldest attended a chair yoga class and was an impressive 102 years old!
I am also qualified to teach and mentor other yoga teachers. If this is relevant for you, then attending my workshops will give you CPD points from the Yoga Alliance UK.
I've taken the Yoga Therapy training which can be of great benefit to those recovering from injury or illness. I'm a compassionate, friendly and patient teacher, committed to delivering high quality yoga sessions that will enhance personal wellbeing and also help to develop a resilient community.
Sometimes, carefully selected colleagues will lead the class when I'm away. Rest assured that all our sessions are highly professional and above all, safe for you to participate in.
